Stucco coverage depends on the coat thickness and mix type.
Bags Needed = (Wall Area × Thickness) / Coverage per Bag
Standard three-coat stucco system:

Typical coverage per 80-lb bag of stucco mix:
- Scratch/Brown coat (3/8"): ~25 sq ft per bag
- Finish coat (1/8"): ~70 sq ft per bag
Material tips:
- Deduct window and door areas from total wall area
- Add 10–15% extra for waste and uneven surfaces
- Pre-mixed stucco is easier but costs more than site-mixed
- Cure time between coats: 24–48 hours minimum
