Party food planning ensures you have enough without massive waste.
General rules per person:
- Appetizers only (2–3 hours): 8–12 pieces per person
- Appetizers before dinner: 3–5 pieces per person
- Main course: 6–8 oz protein, 1 cup sides
- Dessert: 1–2 servings per person
Drinks per person (per hour):
- Non-alcoholic: 1–2 drinks
- Alcoholic: 1–2 drinks (first hour is heaviest)
- Water: always have extra
