Blood Pressure Category
Blood Pressure is measured in mmHg with two numbers: systolic (top) and diastolic (bottom).
American Heart Association categories:

| Normal | Less than 120 | and | Less than 80 |
| Elevated | 120–129 | and | Less than 80 |
| High Stage 1 | 130–139 | or | 80–89 |
| High Stage 2 | 140+ | or | 90+ |
| Crisis | 180+ | and/or | 120+ |
Tips for accurate readings:
- Sit quietly for 5 minutes before measuring
- Keep feet flat on the floor, arm supported at heart level
- Take 2-3 readings and average them
- Measure at the same time each day
