Your Weight Across the Solar System

Weight on another planet:

Weight_planet = Weight_Earth × (g_planet / g_Earth)

Where g is the surface gravity of each body.

Unit conversions:

  • Pounds to kilograms: divide by 2.205
  • Kilograms to pounds: multiply by 2.205

Surface gravity multipliers (relative to Earth = 1.0):

Body Gravity 100 lb on Earth =
Mercury 0.378 37.8 lb
Venus 0.907 90.7 lb
Earth 1.000 100 lb
Mars 0.377 37.7 lb
Jupiter 2.528 252.8 lb
Saturn 1.065 106.5 lb
Uranus 0.886 88.6 lb
Neptune 1.137 113.7 lb
Moon 0.166 16.6 lb
Sun 27.95 2,795 lb

Note: Weight depends on surface gravity, not the planet’s size. Saturn is huge but has low density, so its surface gravity is only slightly more than Earth’s.
