Numerology life path number is calculated from your full date of birth by repeatedly summing the digits until you reach a single digit (1–9) or one of the three “master numbers” (11, 22, 33). The life path number is considered the most significant number in a numerology chart, representing your life’s central theme and core traits.
Life path number formula:
- Write out the birth date as MM/DD/YYYY
- Reduce each component (month, day, year) to a single digit separately
- Sum the three reduced values
- Reduce the sum to a single digit (or stop at 11, 22, or 33)
Reduction rule: Sum all digits → if result is 10+, sum its digits again → repeat until single digit or master number
Master numbers — do not reduce further:

- Day: 1+4 = 5
- Year: 1+9+9+0 = 19 → 1+9 = 10 → 1+0 = 1
- Sum: 7 + 5 + 1 = 13 → 1+3 = 4
