Personal Color Season Calculator

Find your personal color season — Spring, Summer, Autumn, or Winter — based on your skin undertone, hair color, and eye color.

Your Color Season

Personal color season analysis is a method of identifying which color palette flatters you most based on your natural coloring. The system divides people into four seasons — Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter — each with its own set of ideal colors.

The key dimension: warm vs. cool undertones

Every complexion has an underlying tone. Warm undertones have golden, peachy, or yellow hues. Cool undertones have pink, blue, or rosy hues. Neutral undertones are a blend of both.

The vein test: Look at the veins on the inside of your wrist in natural daylight. Blue or purple veins suggest cool undertones. Green veins suggest warm undertones. A mix of both suggests neutral.

The four seasons explained:

Spring — warm, bright, and clear. Springs typically have ivory or peachy skin with a golden glow, warm golden or strawberry blonde hair, and warm eyes in hazel, light brown, or warm green. Best colors: coral, peach, warm yellow, camel, warm ivory, light warm aqua. Think spring flowers — fresh, clear, and sun-warmed.

Summer — cool, muted, and soft. Summers often have light to medium skin with pink or blue-pink undertones, ash blonde or ash brown hair, and eyes in blue, grey, or cool grey-green. Best colors: dusty rose, lavender, powder blue, soft teal, mauve, cool grey. Think a misty morning sky — soft and cool.

Autumn — warm, muted, and deep. Autumns typically have golden, olive, or warm beige skin, hair in rich auburn, copper, dark brown, or warm medium brown, and eyes in dark brown, hazel, olive, or warm green. Best colors: burnt orange, rust, olive green, mustard, chocolate, terracotta, warm burgundy. Think autumn leaves — rich, earthy, and warm.

Winter — cool, bright, and deep. Winters often have high contrast coloring — very pale or very deep skin, dark brown or black hair, and eyes that are dark brown, icy blue, or striking grey. Best colors: pure white, true black, royal blue, vivid red, emerald, cool pink, ice lavender. Think a crisp winter night — high contrast, clear, and bold.

Important note: Color season is a guide, not a rigid rule. Many people are on the border between two seasons. Experiment with colors and trust what makes you feel most vibrant and alive.
