Glasses Frame Size Calculator
Find your ideal glasses frame measurements based on face width and bridge width for the perfect fit.
Glasses frame sizing uses three key measurements printed on every pair (usually inside the temple arm): lens width – bridge width – temple length.
Total Frame Width ≈ (Lens Width × 2) + Bridge Width + (Frame Thickness × 2)
Frame measurement guide:
- Lens width: 40–62mm (horizontal width of each lens)
- Bridge width: 14–24mm (gap between lenses over your nose)
- Temple length: 120–150mm (arms from hinge to ear tip)
Frame width by face width:
| Face Width | Frame Width | Lens Width |
|---|---|---|
| Under 125mm | Small (< 130mm) | 44–48mm |
| 125–135mm | Medium (130–138mm) | 48–52mm |
| 135–145mm | Large (138–148mm) | 52–56mm |
| Over 145mm | X-Large (148mm+) | 56–60mm |
Bridge width by nose:
- Narrow nose: 14–17mm bridge
- Average nose: 17–20mm bridge
- Wide nose: 20–24mm bridge
How to measure face width: Measure from temple to temple (the widest part of your face). A ruler in front of a mirror works, or measure an existing well-fitting pair of glasses.
