How randomness works: Numbers are generated using the Fisher-Yates shuffle algorithm seeded by the browser’s built-in Math.random() function. This is suitable for lottery picks but is not a true cryptographic random number generator.
Are any numbers “luckier” than others? No. In a fair lottery, every number combination is equally likely. Previous draws have no influence on future draws — the lottery has no memory. Frequently drawn numbers are simply the result of chance variance.
Hot and cold numbers: Many players track “hot” (frequently drawn) or “cold” (rarely drawn) numbers. Statistically, these patterns are random coincidence. The expected frequency of every number is the same in a fair draw.
Syndicate tip: Avoid consecutive sequences (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) or calendar dates (1–31 only) — many people pick these, which means more splits if you win. Random picks are as likely to win and less likely to be shared.
How we build and check this calculator
This calculator runs entirely in your browser, so the numbers you enter stay on your device. The math behind it is written by hand and tested against worked examples and standard references before the page goes live.
