Estimated hours by CEFR level (from beginner, FSI-based):
- A2 (Basic): ~150 hours
- B1 (Intermediate): ~400 hours
- B2 (Upper-Intermediate): ~600 hours
- C1 (Advanced): ~900 hours
- C2 (Near-native): ~1,200+ hours
Immersion includes: TV shows, podcasts, reading, speaking practice, and class time. Even 1–2 hours per day consistently adds up to fluency within a few years.
