Converting Hourly Rate to Annual Salary
The standard full-time work year is 40 hours/week × 52 weeks = 2,080 hours.
Annual Salary = Hourly Rate × Hours per Week × Weeks Worked per Year
Accounting for Time Off
Paid vacation and holidays reduce the number of working weeks. Converting days off to weeks: divide total days off by 5 (5-day work week).
Example: 10 vacation days + 10 holidays = 20 days = 4 weeks off Working weeks = 52 − 4 = 48 weeks Annual salary = Hourly × 40 × 48
