Twitch Subscriber Earnings Calculator
Estimate your monthly Twitch revenue from subscribers.
Calculate earnings based on your sub count, tier mix, and Twitch revenue split.
Changing your currency elsewhere on the site will not affect this page.
Twitch subscriber revenue depends on your sub count, tier mix, and the revenue split you have with Twitch.
Subscription tiers:
- Tier 1 Sub: $4.99/month from the viewer
- Tier 2 Sub: $9.99/month from the viewer
- Tier 3 Sub: $24.99/month from the viewer
Revenue split (streamer’s cut):
- Standard Affiliate/Partner: 50% of the sub price
- Premium Partner (“70/30” deal): 70% of the sub price (only available to top-tier partners, typically 1,000+ avg viewers)
- Sub gifting, Twitch Prime/Amazon subs: Twitch keeps a larger cut, typically you receive around $2.50 per Prime sub
What you actually earn per sub (standard 50/50):
- Tier 1: ~$2.50
- Tier 2: ~$5.00
- Tier 3: ~$12.50
What you actually earn per sub (70/30 deal):
- Tier 1: ~$3.49
- Tier 2: ~$6.99
- Tier 3: ~$17.49
Other income streams not included here:
- Bits: $0.01 per bit cheered
- Donations: direct Streamlabs/PayPal, and the only source you keep 100% of
- Ad revenue: roughly $2 to $6 per thousand impressions for gaming, with wide regional swings. Our stream revenue estimator works that side out.
- Sponsorships: highly variable, and above a few thousand viewers usually the largest line of all
Subscriber churn, which the annual figure depends on: Most streamers see 10–30% monthly churn. A thousand subs today is 700–900 next month if nobody new arrives, so the twelve-month figure below is not a forecast. It is what you would earn if the count held exactly steady, which only happens if you replace the leavers every month.
Work out what that costs you: 20% churn on 500 subs means finding 100 new subscribers a month simply to stay level. Sub counts also spike hard around charity streams and subathons and then fall back, so budget from a quiet month rather than your best one.
Important note: These are pre-tax estimates. Twitch sends a 1099 form to US creators at year-end. Self-employment tax (15.3%) and income tax both apply to your earnings.
