The Pomodoro Technique
Developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s, the Pomodoro Technique breaks work into focused intervals separated by short breaks.
Standard structure:
- Work for 25 minutes (one Pomodoro)
- Take a 5-minute short break
- After 4 Pomodoros, take a 15–30 minute long break
Sessions needed = Total Work Minutes / Pomodoro Length (rounded up)
Total calendar time = Sessions × (Pomodoro + Short Break) + Long breaks
