Practical example: A room that is 14 ft long and 12 ft wide has a ceiling area of 168 sq ft. At 350 sq ft per gallon, you need about 0.48 gallons – so one gallon is more than enough for a single coat. For two coats, you would need roughly 0.96 gallons, still within a single gallon purchase.
Tips and common mistakes:
- Ceilings typically need a flat or matte finish paint, which hides imperfections better than glossy paint.
